At the podium of our class, there always stands a teacher who looks like she just stepped out of a comic book—Teacher Zeng. She has long hair that cascades down her back, and her eyes are so dark and bright they seem like two speaking black pearls set in her fair cheeks. Her nose is high and straight, like a little mountain standing tall. Whether she’s walking or talking, the corners of her mouth always curve up slightly, making people feel a warm feeling inside just by looking at her.
Teacher Zeng loves to laugh! When we achieve our desired results, her smile is like sunshine filling the entire classroom: her eyes squint into slits, her lips curl upwards, and her head tilts back, her laughter being incredibly contagious. We can’t help but laugh along with her. But when she talks about those ridiculous and awkward situations in class that make us laugh and cry at the same time, she frowns, her lips drooping in a “This is too difficult for me” expression, which always makes everyone burst into laughter.
Don’t be fooled by her love of laughing; when she’s serious, she can be quite formidable! Once, two students ran too fast and bumped into each other, starting to blame each other non-stop. Teacher Zeng immediately became stern, her voice as loud as thunder: “Classmates, is there some unresolved resentment or conflict that needs to be addressed?” She demanded an apology from them in person, her tone strict yet filled with concern.
The most amazing thing about her is her “superpower.” I remember during a study session, some students were whispering secretly while the teacher was busy grading assignments. The next moment, Teacher Zeng appeared behind them like a shadow and asked softly, “Do you really have that much to talk about? How about you share it with me?” The student jumped up from his seat in such fright that it made the whole class laugh.
Another time, a student did poorly on an exam and started crying into her desk. Teacher Zeng gently walked over, patted her on the shoulder, and said with a wink, “Oh, what’s this little cloud doing here, raining? Let me give you a ‘sun’ to help drive away the clouds!” She handed the student a piece of candy, and soon the student stopped crying and smiled, instantly lightening the mood of the room.
If our class life were like a comic book, Teacher Zeng would definitely be the soul of that story. She has many sides to her personality: one page shows her kindness, another her strictness, and countless pages are filled with her laughter. May this “comic” never end, and may her smile always illuminate our childhoods.
