I have a pink phone watch that my dad bought for me especially. It not only looks beautiful, but it’s also very practical. Whether I’m going to school or out to play on the weekends, I always wear it on my wrist. With it around, my dad can feel much more at ease.
The strap of the watch is a soft, pink color, paired with black buckles that fit securely every time they are fastened. Even when I run and jump around, I don’t have to worry about the watch falling off—it’s really reassuring. The watch itself is small, about 4 centimeters long and 3 centimeters wide, and the strap stretches to 15 centimeters in length, making it just the right size for my wrist without being bulky at all. There’s a small round button on the side of the watch; pressing it turns it on. Below the button is a tiny slot where I can insert a phone card, which is necessary to make calls and connect to the internet.
The design of the watch is exquisite, and it has many useful features, yet it’s very easy to use. After turning it on, you just slide your finger up to unlock it. If you don’t want others to accidentally touch the watch, you can set a password. If you forget the password, don’t worry—my dad can send a verification message through an app on his phone, and then I can unlock it again.
Once unlocked, the screen displays a pink lotus pattern. If I get tired of that design, I can change it to other lovely themes like little bears or stars—it’s really interesting.
By swiping left on the screen, you can access the contact list, which includes my parents’ and grandparents’ phone numbers. Even if I don’t remember the numbers, all I need to do is click on their names to make a call, which is very convenient. Swiping right shows various function icons. My favorite feature is “MicroChat”—its icon is a green square with a little message symbol. When you open it, you can see the avatars and names of my friends. For example, I’ve added some classmates from my class who also have this watch, and we often use MicroChat to arrange to do homework together or play games; it’s just as convenient as using a small phone.
Next to MicroChat is an icon with a yellow circle that leads to the “Friends Circle.” Clicking on it shows your own avatar and a button to “Post Updates.” Sometimes I’ll write something like “I went to the park with mom today” or take a photo of a flower by the road, and my friends will like my post. I can also see their updates and learn about what new skills they’ve learned or where they’ve gone. However, my dad says I can only post 15 updates per day so as not to run out of storage space on the watch, so I make sure to stay within that limit.
Another thing I really like about this watch is that it doesn’t have any games, nor are there apps like Pinduoduo or Baidu that might distract me. All the apps are officially approved, so they won’t interfere with my studies, and my dad doesn’t have to worry about me using them secretly during class. The watch is also water-resistant, so even if it gets wet in the rain or splashes when I wash my hands, it’ll still work just fine—it’s not delicate at all.
Now, before going to school every day, I always check how much battery is left in the watch. On the way home from school, if my dad is a bit late picking me up, I use the watch to call him to let him know I’m safe. With this phone watch, I can stay in touch with my family at any time and share my daily activities with my friends, which makes life much more convenient. I really love it!
