On this wonderful day, the school is going to hold a “Peach Blossom Viewing Evening.” It’s already late autumn—where are the peach blossoms? Let’s go and take a look!
I climbed onto the cloud slide. Since it was still early, I deliberately slowed down the speed and enjoyed the scenery along the way to school; it never got old. The clouds kept changing shape, sometimes looking like little white cats, other times like little dogs. Suddenly, a small white cloud floated into my palm. When I touched it, it seemed to be coquettishly playing with my hand; it was so cute!
Before long, I arrived at the “Pink School.” There were more than a dozen peach trees beside the light pink walls. Unlike the fallen leaves at my home, it felt like spring had come here. Under the vibrant peach trees, some first- and second-grade students were catching the peach blossoms blown by the breeze and scattering them in the air. The falling petals created a mesmerizing “peach blossom rain.”
When I reached the school gate, a little robot came over and said, “Welcome, Cao Ziqi, the class of 2027! Let me show you around the school today.” I looked at the robot and then at the school gates, marveling at how much the school had changed. The robot led me to the peach blossom garden, where there were already a dozen people. I found a spot to sit down. On the previously empty table, a cup of tea and some foods made with peach blossoms appeared—peach blossom cookies, peach-flavored candies, peach blossom juice… There was nothing you could think of that it couldn’t make.
After taking a short rest, the robot took me to the teaching building. First, it led me to the elevator. Once the door opened, it pressed the button for the third floor, and after a few seconds, the elevator doors swung open. I was a bit surprised by what I saw: stepping out of the elevator felt like entering another world. The sound of loud reading echoed from the classrooms. We reached the classroom door, and when the teacher saw us, she warmly welcomed me in. The blackboard where teachers used to write with chalk was gone; instead, the teacher simply turned on a recording device to capture her lecture content, which was then displayed on a large screen. Each student’s desk had a 3D projector the size of a notebook, and with a swipe of their hand, they could skip to the next page. Everyone in the classroom was listening attentively to the teacher. When the teacher talked about the sunset, the room instantly turned into a beautiful “sunset viewing platform.”
After class, the students ran out in a frenzy, filling the corridors with laughter. Some went to the playground, some to the badminton court, and others to the baseball field… The little robot beside me took me to the playground, where some children were playing with badminton rackets, while others were kicking balls on the soccer field. I stood on the playground, which had changed so much, full of curiosity.
The sun was about to set, and I sat on the viewing platform, reflecting on all the changes in the school. I realized one thing: things may change, but this place will always welcome you.
