The school 20 years from now

The school 20 years from now

The schools nowadays are quite simple. Each classroom is equipped with four electric fans, whose large blades spin around noisily to blow air on us and cool us down. The dark green blackboards are always filled with notes, and after class, we have to carefully wipe them clean with a eraser. There are two lush green areas of grass in the school, and during breaks, we love to play soccer there, running around until we’re sweating profusely but feeling very happy. I just can’t help wondering what schools will look like in 20 years.

The book corner in 20 years will definitely be different. It’s said that there will be a very convenient system for borrowing books—you just place your palm on the machine, think of the book you want to read, like “Dream of the Red Chamber,” and it will automatically bring the book out for you. No more searching through the shelves! That would be so much easier.
Classrooms will become even more intelligent. The blackboards will still look the same as they do now, but you’ll be able to write and draw on them with your fingers without using chalk. And there won’t be a need for an eraser; all you have to do is shout “Wipe it clean,” and the writing will disappear. In summer, there will be no need for electric fans; instead, there will be smart air conditioning that keeps the classroom at just the right temperature, neither too cold nor too hot.
The playground will also change. The running track will always be clean, with two small robots walking back and forth, picking up any trash as soon as they see it. If a student accidentally falls and gets hurt, the robots can quickly help and take them to the infirmary without waiting for a teacher to arrive. That would be so comforting!
Schools in 20 years might be as fun as playgrounds, with a quiet atmosphere during class time, making them much more enjoyable than they are now. I really hope I grow up fast so I can visit those schools in the future; maybe I’ll even get to attend classes in the smart classrooms!
