Today, I went to the bookstore outside with my friends to read some books. I picked out a few books I liked and started reading in a small corner of the store. As I was reading, I suddenly closed my eyes.
Suddenly, someone touched me. I opened my eyes groggily and realized that all my friends had grown into teenagers. Looking down at myself, I saw that I had also become a teenager. One of my friends said to me, “Welcome to the bookstore 20 years from now.” I couldn’t believe it at all, until I noticed that the wooden stairs from 20 years ago had been replaced by crystal staircases. There used to be only rows of books, but now there are five levels of bookshelves, with at least 500 books on each level – so many varieties that it would take a day or two just to count them all.
I walked over to the book I liked and tried to pick it up, but I couldn’t move it. Later, I found out that I needed to ask for help from a little squirrel robot to activate a special device in order to get the book. After getting the book, I noticed that there were many small buttons on it, and the content inside was much more elaborate than before. I also learned that I could take the books home to read, but I had to set a return time; otherwise, the books would fly back to the bookstore by themselves.
Once I had the book I wanted, I went to the reading area, where there seemed to be nothing but those small buttons. After asking around, I found out that pressing one of the buttons would make a small sofa appear for each person. Out of curiosity, I pressed one of the buttons on the book, and to my surprise, the book could even tell stories! I sat on the sofa and felt extremely comfortable.
Then, suddenly, I woke up. It turned out that all of this had just been a dream.
