My “comic” teacher

I have a teacher, and she is my English teacher. I call her Teacher Li. She has big eyes, a small nose, a mouth shaped like a cherry, and fair skin. She also wears glasses. Because she is very strict in class and likes to scold people, we all call her the “wildlife trainer.”

If someone doesn’t pay attention to her lecture, she will ask that person some questions. If they can answer them, she lets them sit down and reminds them not to play anymore; if they can’t answer, she scolds them and makes them stand and listen. So as long as she is in our class, no one dares to make noise. She actually has a nice personality, but for some reason, everyone in our class is afraid of her, as if she were a “demon” in the classroom.
If you play with something during her class, she will take it away before the end of the period, and you can’t get it back afterward. That’s why no one dares to play with anything during English class.
But she’s not really that strict. If you have a stomachache, a headache, or feel dizzy, and if class is about to end, she will ask you gently, “Class is almost over. Can you wait until it’s over? If you can’t, go tell the homeroom teacher now, okay?” So she’s not that harsh after all.
Not only is she not very strict, but she also doesn’t hit people very often. For example, if you’re playing with something or whispering, she won’t hit the palm of your hand; instead, she will ask you some questions. However, no matter what you do (like laugh out loud), she will either make you answer a question or have you stand at the back of the classroom.
This is my “comical” teacher—sometimes very strict, sometimes very kind. Either way, she always does what’s best for us.
