This morning, when I got up to brush my teeth, I noticed that the new tooth had already started to show its little head, but the old tooth was still firmly in place, refusing to “retire” from its position. Curious, I shook it with my hand, and immediately a sharp pain spread throughout my body.
I shouted loudly, “Mom! Come quickly!”
My mom ran over and looked at it, then said, “We need to go to the hospital for a check-up.”
My heart was pounding with fear, but I still followed her. At the hospital, my mom sat me down on a chair, and the doctor gently touched my tooth with forceps. In that moment, it felt like I had been struck by lightning, and tears started rolling down my cheeks without my control.
The doctor smiled and said, “There’s no need to pull the tooth out; just eat more things that are hard.” But I thought to myself: Even if I have to eat a hundred different types of hard foods, I absolutely won’t let them pull my tooth out!
However, this experience taught me that losing teeth is a natural part of growing up, and now I’m not as scared anymore.
